2008 workshops
Hello Dance Lovers,
I have some wonderful and pleasurable learning experiences at my Home Studio in store for you this Spring and they are coming up VERY SOON! My BELLYYOGA Master Sunday series is Sunday, January 27th and my first 6-week class series begins Wednesday, January 30th. PLUS, and mark this down, the second Master Sunday Series of 2008 is one week later on Sunday, February 3rd and its with the fabulous DESDEMONA! So, if you want to get that belly in tip top working order, come to my Bellyyoga workshop (learn how to roll those quarters!) and the following week come to Desdemona's workshop (she's the Queen of Belly Rolls in case you don't know!). My Intermediate/Advanced class series will be working on a new choreography, as well as technique, of course. My Beginning class will learn the basics, so tell your friends who have expressed an interest that this is the class to take. The following is a more concise listing of all this information. Please let me know if want to register since space is limited in my home studio.
I'm very excited about teaching this Spring and I hope to see you in class!!!
Love

Miabella
Much has been said about the pure form of Oriental Dance, but what about the innovations of the West? Decades ago dance artists like Mahmoud Reda fell under the spell of western dance forms such as Ballet, Modern and Jazz, and introduced these styles to the Egyptian dance scene. As he and others have done, we should embrace the best ideas born out of these fusions and incorporate them into our own art.
American Bellydance artist Miabella represents the best that America has given to the art of Bellydance; athleticism, grace and lyrical movement. Feminine yet powerful, Miabella has a flowing and graceful style that can suddenly coalesce into a powerful moment for the audience. From years of performing in clubs and other interactive venues, she understands how to weave combinations into a fluid and seamless improvisation that looks completely choreographed! Working with live musicians in front of diverse audiences, Miabella knows the performing techniques that makes it all come together; that magical moment when the audience, musicians and dancer feel as one.
Even more important than pure dance technique, Miabella is a master of the technique of performing. Of knowing what a dancer can do and must do to reach her audience. As one of the few dancers who consistently receives standing ovations, Miabella will share with us some of the performing techniques that she uses to wow her audiences!

Almaazah
Almaazah's veil choreography was a huge hit last year and so she's back by popular demand! Combining incredible finesse with innovation, Almaazah is a both a wonderful teacher and performer.
"Almaazah's teaching style was clear and supportive, combining an appreciation of both the nuts and bolts of technique and the more esoteric aspects of veil work."
